Development of smaller and more light weight cars to increase public safety, and efficiency.

Problem:

Cars around the world but primarily in thUS have grown greatly over the years, which leads to a couple issues: the first being public safety. Taller and heavier automobiles lead to more accidents, and increase the chances of fatalities. High vehicle weight also puts more strain on roads leading to faster deterioration, while generally consuming more fuel and producing more CO2.

Building more affordable housing in the Bay Area

Problem:

Over the past couple generations home and rent prices in the bay area have grown faster than most people's salaries, preventing many from buying a home and discouraging even more from trying. We need to push for more affordable housing and develop new building designs that better fit into our urban landscape. 

Topic:

AI design + 3D printing of mechanical structures in automobiles. 

Problem:

With the advancements of 3D printers and materials, we can use AI to design ideal mechanical parts that are stronger and lighter than current part.
